With a natural ability and interest in problem solving since a very young age, I went from taking apart toy cars and wiring the motors direct to batteries, to riding, breaking and fixing bicycles then on to lawn mowers and finally cars. By 14 years old I found myself working at a local auto repair shop cleaning tools working my way up to rebuilding engines and eventually graduated from tech school with Toyota at 18 years old. I quickly realized the dealership wasn’t for me. I went up to Alaska a couple times first as a laborer on a processing ship then doing factory maintenance in a cannery. I worked with a general contractor in residential repairs\remodels until finally finding a challenge that has kept me busy for the past 20 years in the HVAC business.

In 2006 I opened Affordable Furnace Repair. My wife Dehlia took over the office in 2009 when I realized I simply can’t do everything myself. Since then, we got hitched, built a successful business and more importantly we have grown up had two amazing girls and are learning how much the little things in life matter the most.

With a passion for the outdoors and huge drainage problems at my first house, I rented a Bobcat and made a bigger mess. In two weeks, it went from a little muddy at the edge of the driveway to an absolute mess. I excavated 150 yards of dirt and mud, installed 200 feet of drainage, built a 50′ retaining wall, spread 60 tons of crushed rock and discovered an addiction to running heavy equipment! Since then, we have moved to a much larger property taken on hundreds of projects for ourselves, friends and since 2019 quite a few customers. Doing everything from regrading small backyards to site prep for new homes to clearing acres of blackberry vines, to maintaining a mile of gravel road. We have built up a fleet of equipment to do the projects that we enjoy the most and a network of contractors that specialize in the rest. From arborists to electricians, plumbers and roofers if we can’t do it, we probably know a contractor that we trust to do it right.
